TBL TO PARTICIPATE IN 16-DAYS ACTIVISM

TANZANIA Breweries Limited (TBL) will join other stakeholders involved in the fight against Gender Based Violence (GBV) to commemorate this year's 16 days of activism. The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls.

SIMA ORDERS MTWARA GAS PROCESSOR TO GET ENVIRONMENT COMPLIANCE PLAN

DEPUTY Minister of State in the Vice-Presisent's Office (Union and Environment) Musa Sima has ordered a firm processing natural gas in Mtwara Rural District to get as soon as possible the Environment Compliance Plan (ECP) as required by the Environmental Management Act of 2004 and its Regulations. The Company is called Maurel & Prom Exploration Production.The deputy minister, on a four-day tour of Mtwara Region,is visiting different natural gas projects to see whether the laws are being observed.

THE East African Business Council (EABC) is seeking to havae the regional intra trade that stands at only 12 percent is boosted for at least 10 percent on yearly basis, as the East African Community (EAC) approaches 20 anniversary. The regional apex body for for private sector and corporates from the six EAC partner states leads a unique celebration of the anniversary by taking stock by interrogating the journey that started in 1999 by questioning if enough has been done if not what should be done.

UTT AMIS BOND FUND INVESTMENT WINDOW REOPENS

UNIT trust fund under UTT asset management and Investor Services (UTTAMIS) has registered 2000 investors in the newly introduced Bond fund investing atotal of 16bn/- and their shares increasing exponentiallyin just a month. SA INFLATION SLOWS TO EIGHT-YEAR LOW,PUTTING RATES CUTS BACK IN PICTURE

SOUTH Africa consumer inflation dropped in October to its lowest level since February 2011 as fuel prices fell sharply,raising the chances ofr an interest rate cut by the central bank on Thursday. Headline consumer inflation showed to 3.7% year on year in October from 4.1% in September while monthly price growth was flat at 0%,Statistics South Afrikca said on Wednesday,adding that a 4.9% decrease in petrol prices was the main factor in the slowdown.Most other product prices also fell.

CHINA CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR PROMISES CREDIT SUPPORT TO ECONOMY

CHINA will step up credit support to the economy and push real lending rates lower,central bank governor Yi Gang said on Tuesday,as policymakers keep monetary policy accomodative to prop up slowing growth. Authorities will promote capital replenishment and boost banks' ability to increase lending,Yi told a meeting with representatives from commercial banks,adding that lenders should refrence the Loan Prime Rate (LPR) when it comes to setting lending rates.

CHINA'S CIVIL AVIATION SECTOR REPORTED STEADY EXPANSION AS WELL AS CONTINUOUS HIGH SAFETY STANDARDS IN THE FIRST 10 MONTHS OF THE YEAR, OFFICIAL DATA SHOWED. THE TOTAL TRANSPORT TURNOVER OF THE INDUSTRY STOOD AT 107.75 BILLION TONNE-KILOMETERS FROM JANUARY TO OCTOBER, UP 7.5 PERCENT YEAR ON YEAR, ACCORDING TO THE CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION OF CHINA.

TANZANIA EXPORTS SISAL FIBER WORTH 41BN/-

Tanzania has a exported a total of 10,624.62 tonnes of sisal fiber,which is worth over 41bn/-(18.3m US dollar) in a period of nine months. According to the statistics from Tanzania Sisal Board (TSB),Amboni Plantations limited (APL) and Mohammed Enterprises Limited (MeTL) contributed 73 percent of all exported sisal fiber.
